Is the photobox design original?
Yes, the design is original with a U.S. government design patent pending.

What size is a photobox?
The photoboxes are 51cm x 51cm square by 5cm deep and they hold a 4" x 4" photo in the center.

What are the photoboxes made out of?
The photoboxes are made entirely from real wood. There are no "engineered" products used in the construction. Each piece has its own unique character since each photobox is made to order. Distinctive grains, dings, and imperfections are to be expected and are intentional.

What is the turnaround time on photobox orders?
We will hold a number of items in stock along with a nmber of retailers. Please contact us for current delivery information. Retailers receive a faxed or emailed order confirmation at the end of each day they place an order. These confirmations have approx ship dates. Please be aware of this! Orders rarely ship in less than 4 weeks unless it is RUSHED.

We are usually able to RUSH your order [3 weeks] for an additional £15.00. Please ask if a RUSH is available before placing your order though. RUSH orders needed in or less than 2 weeks will incur the expedited shipping costs via UPS.

How do I purchase a photobox?
We have retailers nationwide that carry our photoboxes or alterntaively via our on-line store.Please contact us with your post code and we will be able to find a local retailer in your area.

When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged when production of your photobox begins. This can be upwards of a week before your photoboxes are shipped

How do we ship?
We ship via UPS. Express shipping is available upon special request and at an additional cost.

Do we drop ship?
Yes, we will gladly drop ship any photoboxes you order for no additional charge. Just write "drop ship" on your order form, denote which boxes require a drop shipment and provide the address.

Can I choose the colour of my photobox?
Yes, you can pick from one of our 18 colour finishes to create your own custom, handmade piece of art. See our Custom Colour Chart

Can I change the font?
Sorry, no. The font choices come as you see them.

Can I get custom colours that are not shown on the colour chart?
Yes. For a £10.00 fee (per colour, per frame) we can use your specified colour.

Can I use a quote of my choosing?
Yes, for a one-time setup fee of £50.00 plus the regular price of the photobox, we will create a custom photobox using your own quote. This setup fee is a nonrefundable deposit and is required before any layouts will be done. Please contact us with any questions. Email Us!

How do I place my photo into the photobox?
The photoboxes are designed specifically for your own photo and work with a 4" x 6" photo cut down to 4" x 4". The photobox comes with a temporarily mounted display photo. This photo comes out easily, allowing you to insert your own photo. Please see the mounting instructions for more information

What colour are the fonts on the photoboxes?
The black, chocolate, charcoal, and slate finishes all have the cream font, whereas the rest of the boxes come with a dark chocolate font.

Can the font be changed?
Sorry, no. The font choices come as you see them.

How is the lettering done?
We have a very exact process, which involves painting each letter by hand. All the photoboxes are hand painted and finished.

Is the lettering on "The Velveteen Rabbit" and "Remember when..." supposed to run off the edges?
Yes. The lettering is done like that on purpose to add to the vintage look of the photobox. Certain words may have the first or last letter cut off or run off the inside and/or outside edges of the photobox. Please make sure you and/or your customers are aware of this characteristic of these particular photoboxes.

What size photo do the photoboxes use?
We highly recommend using a 4" x 6" photo cut down to 4" x 4".

How do you get that vintage look from a colour photo?
Take the photo to your local photo processor [i.e.: Boots, Jessops, Snappy Snaps] and have them make duplicates for you. We recommend having a sepia or black and white photo reproduction done on matt photo paper. Sepia gives a more authentic vintage look. The photo technician should know these terms.

Do we have a catalogue?
Yes, we provide catalogues for retailers. The catalogues come in a binder and include 18 paint colour chips, order forms, full-colour pictures, quote list, a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), and general information sheet. Each retailer has the ability to sell the entire line from the catalogue and it is extremely helpful when placing special orders. How to become a retailer?
Please visit retailer info for all the necessary information and form downloads. In order to set up a new account, there must not be another Box Brownine Trading retailer in your post code.

Do we offer post code protection?
Yes, we do. Please call +447523 202201 or email for post code availability. In order to maintain this protection, you will need to order a minimum of 2 boxes a month.

Payment is required when production of your photobox begins.

Re-ordering?
Please fill out an order form either from your binder, which came with your first order,or download a form. We receive a number of faxes on a daily basis, so if your fax does not originally go through, please try again. Also all orders will receive a fax or email confirmation at the end of business that day.

What is the policy for adding to an order?
If the order was placed 7 - 10 days prior to the addition, a new order will have to be placed.

What if my local retailer doesn't have the exact piece I want?
Each retailer has a catalogue containing all of the colour choices and quotes to choose from. In the store, you can place a special order and we will make your custom photobox for you.

What if there is no retailer in my area?
Please call us +447523 202201 or email us and we will see what retailers are near you. In the case that there is no retailer in your area, we would be happy to sell directly to you at the retail price.

What is your return policy?
Each photobox is custom-made so we do not offer any refunds.

All sales are final unless there is damage to or a problem with the photobox. In these rare cases, we MUST be notified within 48 hours of your receiving the photobox in order to address any issues.

Cancellation policy?
If you decide you need to cancel an order, it must be within 4 - 7 days of placing the initial order. After that time period, the photobox(es) have already been put into production and cannot be cancelled.
